| I-5/SR 161/SR 18 Interchange Improvements - Stage 2 | |||||||||
| The I-5/SR 161/SR 18 interchange experiences severe congestion and is classified as a high collision corridor. Constructing new access and rebuilding ramps from SB I-5 to SR 161/S 348th St, a new exit at SR 161/S 356th St, an additional left turn lane from SR 161 to S 356th St, a new auxiliary lane on NB I-5, re-aligning and widening the ramp from NB I-5 to SR 18, re-building the SR 161 bridge over I-5, adding an auxiliary lane on SB I-5, and constructing a direct fly-over ramp from Weyerhaeuser Way to S 348th St will improve mobility and reduce the risk of collisions at the interchange. |
