CVISN-CVISN-Deployment Stations along I-5, I-90, and I-82
This project will enhance the functionality of the existing, CVISN system. The overall objective of Washington's expanded CVIS is to both WSDOT and WSP ability to access and screen commercial vehicles while reducing congestion at and around weigh stations. The safety, security, effectiveness, and productivity of roadside operations will be improved through automation and application of proven technologies. This project implements the automated Intelligent Inspection Analysis tool "PreASSESS" (Pre-inspection Analysis, Selective Sorting, and Electronic Screening System), which incorporates additional electronic screening devices at eleven weigh stations where CVISN is already deployed.
