SR 167/8th St E Vic to S 277th St Vic - Southbound Managed Lane
The project will extend a High Occupancy Toll (HOT) Lane by widening the southbound SR 167 from 37th St NW in King County to the vicinity of 8th St E in Pierce County and widen bridge 167/112W at the SR 18 interchange. Ramp meters will be installed at the following on-ramps: EB 15th St SW to SB, WB 15th St SW to SB, Ellingson Rd to SB, Ellingson Rd to NB, 8th St E to SB, and 8th St E to NB. Noise walls will be constructed along the east side of the northbound SR 167 and at the SB Ellingson Rd ramp terminal. The existing fish barrier twin culverts conveying Jovita Creek (SiteID 105R050320a) and the unnamed tributary to Milwalkie Canal (SiteID 930179) will be replaced with fish-passable structures. Off-site mitigation due to environmental impacts, stormwater treatment and detention facilities will be constructed.
